Looks like Taco Bell isn’t the only one trying to spice up its menu a bit. Burger King has announced this week that on August 15th they’ll be launching the Whopperito, a combination of, you guessed it, a hamburger and burrito.
The new menu item has been tested at various locations for the past few months and now, the company has decided to roll it out nationwide. According to Bloomberg, it will sell for $2.99 and will be available for 3-4 months, unless Burger King decides to add it as a permanent fixture of their menu.
As you can see in the photo above, the Whopperito comes with a flour tortilla stuffed with “beef, seasoning, tomatoes, onions, pickles and a creamy queso sauce.” Sounds good to us, and you can bet that we’ll be heading to our local Burger King next week to indulge in this new treat.
The only question now, is, will it stick around for the long run? That remains to be seen, but for the time being, we’ll enjoy it while we can.
