Home ยป RECIPE: Dad’s Chocolate Pudding
October 26, 2016
Looking for a quick and easy dessert? Look no further than pudding. No, not the instant kind. And certainly not the kind you buy in packs at the grocery store. We mean homemade pudding like the kind your dad makes for you mom on Valentine's Day.
This decadent dessert will leave your mouth watering and wanting more. Just be sure to add the egg with care so it doesn't solidify and leave an uninviting texture. You want smooth pudding with no scrambled egg pieces.
Oh, and the little, unexpected dash of cinnamon really takes this dish to that next level.

1Combine cocoa powder, sugar, corn starch and salt in sauce pan.
2Stir in milk over medium heat until thick and bubbling. Stir constantly for 2 more minutes. Remove from heat.
3Slowly stir about half the mixture into beaten egg. Don't do it too quickly or egg will cook and solidify.
4Return mixture to saucepan. Cook and stir two more minutes over medium heat.
5Remove from heat and stir in butter until it melts.
6Stir in vanilla and cinnamon.
7Serve warm.
