Subway is well known for quick, affordable sub sandwiches and they regularly mix up their offerings, keeping customers on their toes. Whether it’s for a special occasion like a holiday, or just to have things feel fresh, the chain knows how to keep their menu interesting. Recently, they’ve been spotted testing another new sandwich: the Pulled Pork Crunch.
The sub consists of tender pulled pork marinated in Hickory BBQ sauce topped with shredded cheese and Chili Cheese Fritos. It appears that the test is limited to the midwest as of now, but time will tell if the sandwich spreads.
The idea of a pulled pork sandwich at Subway sounds tasty to us, as we’re suckers for tender shredded pork and BBQ sauce. Also, adding chips to a sandwich is always a good idea as it adds a much needed textural change; but using Chili Cheese Fritos on BBQ seems like a bit of a disconnect. Still, we’re definitely looking forward to giving it a try if it makes it through the testing phase and gets added to the full-time menu.
