Doritos are one of the most popular chip brands on the market today. Their classic flavors like Cool Ranch and Nacho Cheese have been ruling the snack market for decades, and while they may not have gone completely wild with flavors like Lay’s Potato Chips, they do have quite a few offerings. Where do you go after dominating the chip world for so long, though? Well, you expand into other sectors of the snack food market, of course.
The chip company is looking to branch out with Doritos Loaded. Think a bagel bites and jalapeño popper mashup with that zesty Doritos flavor tossed in to tie it all together. This week heralded the nationwide release of two flavors of this new, oven-cooked snack, which the company likes to call the “inside-out nacho.”
The Doritos Loaded Nacho Cheese is triangular (like their famous chips) in shape, filled with melty nacho cheese and encased in a crispy Doritos flavored crust. The Doritos Loaded Jalapeño & Cheese, meanwhile, kicks it up a notch with diced jalapeño peppers mixed in with the cheese.
Look for these new offerings from Doritos in the freezer section of your nearest big-box retailer. They’ll run you $2.98-$3.49 for a 7.5oz box and $4.98-$5.79 for the 15oz box.
