I could go on and on with depressing examples of how life gets you down and chocolate treats help pick you up, but let’s get to the recipes.
Most chocolate recipes are packed with sugar, butter, cholesterol, fat and more unhealthy (but delicious) things. However, chocolate itself isn’t so unhealthy. Cocoa beans have antioxidants that are, believe it or not, very beneficial. It’s all the other stuff added in to make chocolate sweeter and creamier that makes it unhealthy, but it doesn’t always have to be that way.
There are plenty of scrumptious desserts that include chocolate which you can feel good about eating even if you’re trying to watch your waistline. You just have to look a little harder to find them.
